New oral psoriasis pill enters human testing

Summary

This is the first study in people for a new pill called UA026, designed to treat plaque psoriasis by blocking a protein that causes inflammation. The main goal is to check the safety, side effects, and how the drug moves through the body in healthy volunteers and people with moderate to severe psoriasis. Researchers will also look for early signs that the pill might reduce psoriasis symptoms.
