Summary
This study tested two standard methods used during a procedure called POEM, which helps people with swallowing problems. One method uses carbon dioxide gas, the other uses water to open the throat. The goal was to see which method causes less pain after the procedure. 34 adults took part, and researchers measured their pain levels and need for pain medicine.
