New shot aims to tame blood sugar in type 2 diabetes

Summary
This study tests an investigational injection called HS-20094 in adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is not well controlled by diet and exercise alone. About 204 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it safely lowers blood sugar over 44 to 52 weeks. The goal is to help manage the disease, not cure it.
