Could treating low blood sugar earlier keep people safer?
NCT ID NCT04876079
Summary
This study tested if taking a dose of oral glucose *before* blood sugar drops too low (at a higher threshold) could help people with type 1 diabetes spend less time in dangerous hypoglycemia. It involved 30 adults with type 1 diabetes to see if this proactive approach works better than the standard reactive treatment. The goal is to improve daily management and safety by preventing low blood sugar episodes rather than just correcting them after they happen.
