Scientists test Patient's own cells to calm diabetes attack
NCT ID NCT05207995
Summary
This early-phase study tested the safety of a new cell therapy for people with type 1 diabetes. Doctors took cells from 32 patients, modified them in a lab, and gave them back. The goal was to see if these 'tolerogenic' cells could teach the immune system to stop attacking the pancreas and help control blood sugar.
