Blood Sugar-Fat index could spot heart risks in Non-Diabetics

NCT ID NCT07154186

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test called the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index can help predict the severity of heart artery disease in people who do not have diabetes but develop heart disease early. Researchers will study 180 adults aged 18 and older who have confirmed coronary artery disease but no diabetes. The goal is to see if higher TyG scores are linked to more blocked arteries, which could help doctors identify high-risk patients sooner.
