First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether tranexamic acid (TXA), a drug that reduces bleeding, can prevent arthritis after an ACL injury. 50 people aged 18-30 with a recent ACL tear will receive TXA to see if it lowers joint inflammation and protects cartilage. The goal is to stop post-traumatic osteoarthritis from developing years later.
