Double-Duty dialysis: could two daily exchanges keep kids healthier?
NCT ID NCT07168343
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a special dialysis fluid (icodextrin) twice a day instead of once can better control fluid buildup and high blood pressure in children on long-term peritoneal dialysis. Ten children aged 5 to 18 with low urine output and high blood pressure will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the extra exchange improves fluid removal and reduces the need for blood pressure medications.
