Are your Heart's extra beats in your DNA? twin study investigates

NCT ID NCT05866731

Summary

This study aimed to understand if genetics play a role in common, extra heartbeats called PACs and PVCs. Researchers compared the heart rhythms of identical and fraternal twins using portable heart monitors. The goal was to see if these extra beats run in families, which could help explain why some people have more of them.
