Wearable device trial offers hope for reducing severe temper outbursts in rare genetic disorder

NCT ID NCT06144645

Summary

This study is testing whether a wearable device that gently stimulates a nerve in the ear can safely reduce severe temper outbursts in people with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). About 102 participants, aged 10 to 40, will wear the device daily for several months to see if it helps manage these challenging behaviors. Researchers will compare two different stimulation levels and also study what happens when treatment is paused.
