Virus and radiation team up against rare sarcoma

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with advanced soft tissue sarcoma that cannot be easily removed with surgery alone. Participants receive injections of a modified virus (TVEC) directly into the tumor along with standard radiation therapy before surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can destroy more of the tumor and improve outcomes. The study is in phase 2 and has enrolled 2 participants so far.
