Netflix as therapy? study tests movie nights for mental health
NCT ID NCT07286305
Summary
This study is testing whether watching TV shows or movies in a small group, with guided discussions about emotions, can help improve mental well-being. About 70 adults receiving long-term mental health care will participate in six weekly 90-minute sessions. Researchers will compare groups that receive emotional education during viewing against groups that just watch together to see which approach better improves emotional awareness and reduces anxiety and depression symptoms.
