New hope for recurrent brain cancer: experimental drug targets tumor weakness

Summary
This study is testing whether the drug tuvusertib can help control recurrent brain tumors called astrocytomas that have specific genetic mutations. It will involve 56 adults whose cancer has returned after initial treatment. The main goal is to see if the drug can keep the cancer from progressing for at least six months in more patients than current standard therapies.
