Spicing up recovery: can turmeric and pepper help heal a damaged heart?
NCT ID NCT07149961
Summary
This study tested whether a daily supplement containing curcumin (from turmeric) and piperine (from black pepper) could help people recover from a major heart attack. It aimed to see if the supplement could reduce harmful inflammation and stress in the body better than a placebo. The 50 participants took the supplement or a dummy pill for 28 days after their emergency heart procedure.
