Could a simple tube adjustment prevent Post-Surgery sore throats?
NCT ID NCT05542823
Summary
This study aimed to understand if the pressure from a breathing tube used during surgery is linked to developing a sore throat afterward. Researchers observed 337 patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery, monitoring the tube's pressure and asking patients about their throat pain after the operation. The goal was to gather information to potentially improve patient comfort in the future.
