First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether starting tube feeding right after a stem cell transplant can lower the risk of severe gut graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious complication. About 112 adults with blood cancers or disorders will be randomly assigned to either standard nutrition care or early tube feeding. The goal is to see if this approach improves recovery, weight maintenance, and quality of life.
