6 healthy volunteers help map safety of new brain scan tracer

NCT ID NCT06398392

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study measured how a radioactive tracer called [18F]PBR111 spreads through the body and how much radiation it gives off. Six healthy adults (3 men, 3 women) received the tracer and had PET/CT scans for about 2 hours. The goal was to check safety and calculate radiation exposure, which will help design future studies on brain inflammation in diseases like Alzheimer's.
