New radiation combo aims to stall cancer spread in landmark trial

NCT ID NCT06587490

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding precise, high-dose radiation (SABR) to standard treatments can keep cancer from growing longer in people whose cancer has spread to up to 10 spots. About 300 adults with solid tumors that have spread to a limited number of sites will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus SABR. The main goal is to see if the combination delays cancer progression and improves survival.
