Triple-Drug cocktail targets Hard-to-Treat biliary cancers
NCT ID NCT07704177
First seen Jul 15, 2026 · Last updated Jul 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether a combination of three drugs—trastuzumab rezetecan, adebrelimab, and lenvatinib—can shrink tumors or slow disease progression in people with advanced biliary tract cancer (including bile duct and gallbladder cancers) that has grown despite prior treatments. The study enrolls adults whose tumors are HER2-positive or have low HER2 expression. Participants receive all three drugs intravenously or orally every three weeks. The main goal is to see how many patients respond to treatment, with secondary goals including overall survival and safety.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- a combination of trastuzumab rezetecan (a targeted antibody-drug conjugate), adebrelimab (an immunotherapy), and lenvatinib (a targeted therapy)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this triple-drug approach could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced biliary tract cancer that has not responded to standard therapies.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase trial with a small number of participants, so the benefits and risks are not yet proven. Combining three drugs may increase side effects.
