Simpler injection could offer new hope for hip arthritis pain

Summary
This study is testing if a simpler injection into a painful muscle knot (trigger point) works as well as a more complex injection directly into the hip joint for treating chronic osteoarthritis pain. Over 1,000 participants with hip pain will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two injection types and followed for two years to compare pain relief and function. The goal is to find a safe, easier-to-perform treatment option for people who haven't gotten enough relief from standard medications.
