Gut-Brain link: new hope for slowing Alzheimer's?
NCT ID NCT06797817
Summary
This study is testing if a supplement called tributyrin can help slow memory and thinking problems in people with mild Alzheimer's disease. Researchers believe tributyrin may work by improving gut health and reducing brain inflammation. About 156 participants will take either the supplement or a placebo daily for 12 weeks while their cognitive function, blood markers, and gut health are monitored.
