First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new way to deliver medication directly into the ear for people with hearing loss that hasn't improved with standard treatments. About 26 adults with sudden, Meniere's, or noise-induced hearing loss will receive the injection. Researchers will check if the drug stays in the ear longer and helps improve hearing, while monitoring for side effects like eardrum healing time.
