Tiny cuts may make gallbladder removal easier and less painful

NCT ID NCT07595692

First seen May 24, 2026 ยท Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study tested a new way to remove a gallbladder that is hard to pull out during keyhole surgery. Instead of making a larger cut, doctors made three tiny radial cuts around the opening. The goal was to see if this method causes less bleeding, pain, and other problems compared to standard techniques. 156 adults having gallbladder surgery took part, and the results may help surgeons choose a gentler approach.
