First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study follows up on 500 extremely preterm infants who received paracetamol or a placebo in a previous trial to see if early treatment helps close a heart vessel and improves thinking skills at age 2. Parents will answer online questionnaires about their child's development. The goal is to learn whether this simple drug can reduce long-term cognitive problems.
