New hope to tame dangerous side effects of powerful cancer drugs

NCT ID NCT04375228

Summary

This study is testing two drugs, rituximab or tocilizumab, to help people with advanced cancer who develop severe, long-lasting side effects from their immunotherapy treatment. These side effects often require patients to take high doses of steroids, which can cause serious health problems. The main goal is to see if these new drugs can help patients safely stop taking steroids while still controlling the side effects.
