First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will test whether walking on a treadmill with body weight support can improve motor skills in children aged 5-12 with dyskinetic cerebral palsy. Twenty children will be split into two groups: one gets the treadmill training, the other gets standard Bobath therapy. Researchers will measure changes in walking, balance, and coordination after 4 weeks of training.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
body weight supported treadmill training
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new therapy option to help children with dyskinetic cerebral palsy walk and move better.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early-stage trial with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to all children. The training is short (4 weeks), so lasting benefits are uncertain.
