NCT ID NCT07140536
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at how using a treadmill at a standing desk, combined with cooler room temperatures, affects back health, blood sugar, thinking, and comfort. Sixteen healthy adults spent four days in a lab office, alternating between sitting and light walking at either 19°C or 23°C. Researchers measured things like blood sugar, heart rate, attention, and how warm people felt to see if walking desks could improve health and reduce heating costs.
