First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether trazodone, a medication already used for depression, can help older adults (65+) with chronic insomnia sleep better. Forty participants will take either trazodone or a placebo for 28 days, then switch after a break. They will track their sleep with a diary and a wrist device, and visit the clinic three times. The goal is to see if trazodone reduces insomnia symptoms more than a placebo.
