First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether an oral tablet called Travelan (IMM-124E) can protect healthy adults from getting moderate-to-severe diarrhea caused by a common bacteria (ETEC) that causes traveler's diarrhea. Sixty volunteers were given either Travelan or a placebo and then exposed to the bacteria in a controlled setting. The main goal was to see if fewer people in the Travelan group developed severe diarrhea compared to the placebo group.
