Hospitals test new rules to get the right trauma care to the right patients faster
NCT ID NCT07490145
Summary
This study aims to improve how hospitals decide which injured patients need the full trauma team's immediate attention. Researchers are comparing old and new sets of rules (called activation criteria) used by emergency responders to make this call. They will measure how often the new rules correctly identify patients who need urgent care versus sending the team when it's not needed.
