Summary
This study looks at whether people who have weight-loss surgery can safely go home the same day instead of staying overnight in the hospital. About 200 adults having either sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass will be randomly assigned to go home right away or stay at least one night. The main goal is to see if same-day discharge leads to more emergency room visits within a week after surgery.
