Survey reveals regrets and reasons behind transgender fertility decisions

NCT ID NCT07194226

Summary

This study surveyed over 600 transgender adults in Italy to understand their thoughts and feelings about saving their fertility before starting gender-affirming treatments like hormone therapy or surgery. Researchers asked why people chose or declined fertility preservation, how much regret they felt about their decision, and what kind of counseling they received. The goal is to help doctors and counselors provide better advice and support for future patients making these important personal choices.
