Scientists hunt for clues to predict breast cancer drug success
NCT ID NCT05529862
First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at tumor and blood samples from 115 people with a common type of advanced breast cancer (HR+/HER2-). Researchers want to find genetic clues that can predict who will benefit from a combination of hormone therapy and the targeted drug ribociclib. By comparing samples taken before and after treatment, they hope to understand why some patients respond well while others do not. The goal is to improve future treatment choices, not to test a new therapy.
