Common bleeding drug tested for stubborn skin stains
NCT ID NCT04233749
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called tranexamic acid can reduce skin discoloration caused by two conditions: lichen planus pigmentosus and erythema dyschromicum perstans. There are currently no consistently effective treatments for these skin conditions. Researchers are enrolling a small group of adults to see if this drug, which has helped with a similar pigmentation disorder, can lighten these stubborn skin patches.
