First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether tranexamic acid, a drug used to reduce bleeding, can prevent dark spots that often appear after skin inflammation. Ten healthy men with darker skin tones received the drug and had small blisters created on their skin to mimic injury. The goal was to see if the treatment could stop the darkening that normally follows such injuries.
