Can a few online sessions curb binge drinking in young adults?

NCT ID NCT05491551

Summary

This study is testing whether a brief online training program can help young adults who drink heavily gain better control over their alcohol cravings and reduce their drinking. Researchers at Yale University will enroll 177 participants aged 18-26 and randomly assign them to different types of training based on cognitive-behavioral or mindfulness techniques, or to a control group. The main goal is to see if the training reduces the number of heavy drinking days and lowers estimated blood alcohol levels on drinking days over a 16-week period.
