Caregiver training boosts knowledge on perineal care for incontinent patients
NCT ID NCT05959876
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a face-to-face training session on perineal care improves knowledge among relatives of palliative care patients with incontinence. Eighty-four caregivers were randomly assigned to receive training or standard care. Researchers measured knowledge using a 15-question test before and after training. The goal is to see if simple education can help caregivers provide better hygiene care.
