Summary
This study tests a communication training program for nurses and social workers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The goal is to help them respond more effectively and compassionately to the challenges faced by families caring for a hospitalized cancer patient. About 80 providers will take part, and researchers will measure changes in their skills and confidence, as well as family satisfaction with care.
