Scientists use DNA sleuthing to hunt source of superbug infections
NCT ID NCT03465683
Summary
This research aims to understand how dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria spread in hospitals and the community. Scientists will analyze the genetic code of bacteria from patients, hospital wastewater, and food to trace where infections come from. The goal is to gather evidence to help create better strategies to prevent these hard-to-treat infections.
