Breathing hope: donor patch trial for kids with failing windpipes

NCT ID NCT07240259

Summary

This study is testing whether a patch made from a donated human artery can be used to rebuild damaged windpipes and breathing tubes in children. It is for infants and children with severe, life-threatening airway diseases who have run out of other treatment options. The main goal is to see if this surgical approach is feasible and safe, particularly looking at survival and complications in the first 90 days after surgery.
