First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving children toys like play dough, slime, or plush animals during dental treatment can lower their anxiety and pain. Ninety kids aged 6 to 10 will be split into four groups, each getting a different toy or no toy at all. Researchers will measure fear, pain, and stress using questionnaires and saliva tests to see if these simple distractions help kids have a better dental visit.
