Simple toys show promise in easing Kids' needle fears
NCT ID NCT06994637
Summary
This study tested if using simple toys could make blood draws easier for young children. Researchers gave 120 children aged 4-6 either a liquid hourglass to watch or a spiky ball to hold during the procedure. They measured if these toys helped reduce the children's pain, fear, and anxiety compared to a standard blood draw.
