First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a child a toy to hold against their surgical wound during movement can lower their pain and fear. About 74 children aged 4 to 10 who had abdominal surgery will take part. Half will use a toy during their first walk after surgery, while the other half gets standard care. Nurses will measure pain and fear levels before and after the walk.
