New 'Belt' could stop fatal bleeding before reaching hospital
NCT ID NCT07274150
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device called an abdominal aortic junction tourniquet (AAJT-S) that's designed to stop life-threatening internal bleeding in the torso area. The device is meant to be used by emergency responders on trauma patients with severe injuries before they reach the hospital. Researchers want to see if this device can help stabilize patients by controlling bleeding until they can get surgery.
