Scenic walks beat nursing home workouts for older Women's health
NCT ID NCT07477262
Summary
This study tested whether the location of exercise matters for health. Researchers had 50 sedentary, overweight women aged 60+ complete a 10-week walking program. One group walked in the beautiful, natural Yangshuo tourism area, while the other did the same walks in a standard nursing home setting. The goal was to see if the scenic environment led to better improvements in weight, body fat, mood, and sleep quality.
