Tapping and touch: new hope for postpartum exhaustion?
NCT ID NCT06440109
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two simple, drug-free methods—therapeutic touch (balancing energy) and emotional freedom technique (tapping on acupressure points)—can help new mothers feel less tired and improve their mood after childbirth. Sixty women who had a vaginal birth took part, with some receiving touch, some tapping, and some standard care. The goal was to see if these techniques offer an easy way to support moms in the early weeks after delivery.
