China launches nationwide study to measure daily energy burn in healthy people

Summary
This study will measure total energy expenditure in 240 healthy Chinese children and adults using the gold-standard doubly labelled water method. Researchers will also collect data on body measurements, blood tests, physical activity, and gut bacteria. The goal is to provide accurate, population-specific data to improve dietary recommendations and obesity prevention strategies in China.
