Summary

This study compared two types of mammograms in nearly 100,000 women to see which finds more breast cancers. One group got a standard 2D mammogram, while the other got a 3D mammogram plus a synthetic 2D image. The goal was to see if the 3D method detects more invasive cancers and reduces the number of cancers missed between screenings.
