Gel tested as potential Non-Surgical option for face skin cancer precursor

NCT ID NCT02723721

Summary

This study tested whether a topical gel called Picato could treat lentigo maligna, a pre-cancerous skin condition on the face that can turn into melanoma. It was for patients who were not eligible for or refused standard surgery. Researchers applied the gel for three days to see if it could completely clear the lesion.
