Natural gels tested to stop mouth spots from turning cancerous
NCT ID NCT07331935
Summary
This study is testing whether two antioxidant gels (Coenzyme Q10 and curcumin) applied directly to oral leukoplakia patches can shrink these white mouth lesions and prevent them from developing into cancer. Researchers will measure changes in lesion size and check saliva for signs of reduced cellular stress. The trial involves 34 adults with confirmed oral leukoplakia who will apply the gels topically to their lesions.
